J. Wade Weaver

Class of 1926 / Inducted 1972 - Charter Member / Football

Wade Weaver, a North Carolina native, was inducted into the Emory & Henry Sports Hall of Fame in its charter year for his accomplishments as a collegiate football player during the 1920s.

Weaver played fullback and linebacker for the Wasps under fellow Hall of Fame inductee, coach Bingo Fullerton.  He was known as a strong tackler and a consistent runner in his years with the Wasps.
