Tracy Ross

Class of 1997 / Inducted 2019 / Women's Tennis

Tracy Ross played No. 1 in both singles and doubles for the entire four years at the college from 1994-1997.

Her top play on the courts earned her national recognition her freshmen season – reaching #44 in the nation as an individual. For the season, Tracy went 28-8 overall – with 14 wins and four losses each in singles and doubles.

Her stellar play helped the Wasps earn a third-place finish in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference in 1994, 95, and 96.

Tracy served as team captain alongside another hall of fame player, Ashley Pangle, during her junior and senior seasons.

Head Coach Beverly Sheddan says that this period of Emory & Henry Tennis was the best team of her time as a coach, and helped launch the program to later conference success.

For her career, Tracy went 57-35 in singles for a win percentage of 61.96%

Equally impressive, Tracy went 55-37 in doubles for a win percentage of 59.78%

Currently, Ross calls Midlothian Virginia home. There she serves as the founder of 3-Inspirations LLC and the Tracy Ross Management LLC. She has previously served as a sales manager at Southern Wine and Spirits for the State of Virginia.

Additionally, Ross has worked as a marketing coordinator for the non-profit organization – the JP Jumpers Foundation. She has also held the title of Vice-President for the non-profit – the Way 4 Life Family Services.
