Keith Arington

Timothy Keith Arington was a native of Glade Spring, Virginia. The 1991 Emory & Henry Sports Hall of Fame inductee is the only athlete in E&H history to achieve All-America status five times in his career. He received All-America honors after finishing in the top five in the decathlon at the Division III National Championships in each of his four seasons. In his senior year, Arington also qualified and placed in pole vault, giving him his fifth All-America nod.

Arington set two records both at Emory & Henry and for the Old Dominion Athletic Conference in the high jump (6’8 ¼) and pole vault jump (15’ 8 ½). He was the ODAC champion in the high jump and pole vault in the 1982-1984 seasons. Arington also took home ODAC champion titles in 1982 in long jump and in 1984 in the 55 meter high hurdles.

In years 1983 and 1985, Arington was named Conference Track Athlete of the Year in outdoor track after previously being named indoor track’s ODAC Track Athlete of the Year in 1982. He qualified for national NCAA Division III championships in the decathlon each of his four years at the college.

Arington received his B.A. in Computer Science & Mathematics and became co-owner and president of CRG, Inc.
