Stevie Allen

Stephen Michael Allen, is a native of Port Orange, Florida. He was inducted into the Emory & Henry Sports Hall of Fame in 2004 for his accomplishments as a football player, though he was also a standout in track & field and on the baseball diamond.

Allen redshirted in 1982, but accumulated several impressive accolades during his time at E&H. Allen received first team All-Conference honors three times in 1981, 1983, and 1984. He was the runner-up for the conference player of the year in 1981, when he caught 26 passes for 656 yards and six touchdowns. In addition to averaging 17.8 yards per reception in his career, upon graduation Allen ranked fourth on the list for receptions with 94 and career yards with 1,672. The wide receiver also served as team captain in 1985, the year of Coach Lou Wacker’s first conference title.

Allen became a Head Football coach at Flagler Palm Coast High School in Bunnell, Florida. He was awarded FACA District 5A Coach of the Year in 1996 after piloting the Bulldogs to their first playoff victory in school history, finishing the year with an impressive 7-5 record. Allen remained active in his community, serving on the Board of Directors for Lawton Chiles Charter School in Daytona Beach, Florida, the State Advisory Board for Florida High School Athletics Activities, and as a member of the Florida Athletic Coaches Association.
