Mandy Smith Miller

Amanda “Mandy” Smith Miller was inducted into the Emory & Henry Sports Hall of Fame in 2013, a decade after her impressive collegiate softball career.

Miller played softball for Emory & Henry from 2000-03 for a fledgling program that was started in 1995. During her senior year, she helped lead the team to a 22-12 record, the programs first and only ODAC Championship, as well as a post-season bid to the NCAA softball tournament where they took fourth place in the Atlantic Region.

That same year, 2003, Miller was selected to the First Team All-Conference and to the All-ODAC Academic Team. She was named Division III State Player of the Year and National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-Atlantic Region First Team. She was an NFCA All-American Scholar Athlete and a Second-Team All-American, making her the first E&H softball player to be named to an All-American squad.

Miller’s career statistics include a batting average of .409, 101 runs, 12 home runs, 39 doubles, 16 triples, 111 RBI, and 41 stolen bases on 43 attempts. She graduated holding school records for her .486 single season batting average; eight single game assists; and three single game triples, seven single season triples, and 16 career triples.

Miller went on to become a Certified Professional Coder and a Certified Medical Office Manager.
