Sarah Cordill Horton

Sarah Cordill Horton graduated from Emory & Henry in 2004. She had the joy of being part of the now famed 2003 ODAC Championship Team, and says a highlight of her career was “spending time with an amazing group of people.”

During her career, the team garnered 106 wins, including the Conference Championship 2003 which they swept 4-0. She and her fellow players also went to the NCAA Division III softball tournament for the first and only time in E&H history.

Sarah was a four-time All-ODAC First Team Shortstop. And she was a four-time National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-Region Team member (making First-Team honors in 2002 and 2003).

In her career, she batted .455, and racked up 61 doubles, 348 bases, 235 hits, and 37 stolen bases. She still ranks second best in all-time E&H history with a batting average of .460 in a single season, 133 RBI’s, 138 runs scored, 14 triples, and 517 at-bats.

She still holds 16 Emory & Henry records, 10 of which are career records.

Sarah is currently putting her athletic skills to work by bringing honor to her alma mater as an occupational therapist for Richlands Home Care.
