Creed F. Bruce

A native of Wise, Virginia, Creed Bruce lettered all four years as a halfback on the Wasps’ football team. During his career, Bruce played in the 1950 Tangerine Bowl and was selected for the All-Smoky Mountain Conference Team and the Miller & Rhodes All-State Team. He graduated from Emory & Henry in 1954.

Upon graduating, Bruce served in the United States Army for two years before working as a group manager for the Internal Revenue Service.

Creed F. Bruce passed away on October 27, 2008 at the age of 78.
