James W. Hagy

A 1946 graduate, James Hagy, who both played and coached at Emory & Henry, was inducted posthumously into the Sports Hall of Fame in 1973.

Hagy was a tackle on the Wasps football team. He served as a captain in 1944. After graduating, he was taken on staff as an assistant football coach until his untimely death on October 3, 1949.
