Walter A. Fielder, Jr.

Class of 1937 / Inducted 1972 - Charter Member / Men's Basketball

Walter “Wa-Wa” Fielder graduated from Emory & Henry in 1937. He was inducted into Sports Hall of Fame during its charter year for his accomplishments in basketball. Fielder was an esteemed guard that accumulated a 68-14 record during his time at E&H. During the 1936 season, he scored 168 of the team’s 744 points.

He was on a team that won the state collegiate title.
